Day 21 - Human Rights Day!

Hello!!  Dana here with you today!!  I don't know about where you are, but here in Idaho it is FREEZING!!  Our highs are only in the teens and have been for almost 2 weeks now.  I am not a huge fan of winter anyways, so I am ready for it to warm up a little bit!!  Here is a look at what things around here have been like:

Of course, this layout was made with one of my favorite kits by Memory Clips, Frosty Flakes!

Anyway, for those of us here in the US, today is a holiday.  Human Rights Day or Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  For a long time, I have been very interested in history.  In fact, my major in college was history.  I love studying it, reading about it, listening to it, watching it....I am just fascinated with it.  My very favorite part of history is American history, so as you have probably guessed, days like today really intrigue me...or at least the reasons behind the holiday.

It is amazing how far we have come since those days of Martin Luther King Jr. and I am glad we have.  I can't imagine how turbulent those times were then.  I am grateful for people who have worked so hard to bring about changes so that we can all have equal rights and everyone is treated more fairly.  So, I hope that you enjoy today, whatever it is you will be doing.  And don't forget to remember those, whoever they are for you, who have helped make your world what it is today!!

And now for your freebie.  Isn't it fun?  Enjoy!!
