Sewing Costumes

So a large part of today was spent sewing our costumes for Halloween!  I'll have pictures to show after Halloween, but let me just say that they are turning out great! I'm having a blast!  Its the first year in many that I'm making our own.  Many years ago when my Mitchell (now 12) was 3 1/2 and my Abby (now 10) was 1 1/2, I made them matching Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy costumes. They turned out darling, but I think that was the last time I sewed costumes!  This year, I am making 6 of our 8 and they are themed!  I'm not going to spoil the surprise-so you'll just have to wait!!

I also made 2 different types of cookies today.  I am trying to avoid all grain, so I made a batch for me out of almond flour.  For the kids I made a gluten free batch (well actually Abby did most the work and she did great!).  I also made homemade vanilla ice cream to go with them!

Our two oldest boys are gone to the BYU game tonight and me and hubby are getting ready to sit down and watch it on t.v.  Should be a fun evening!

For tonight's freebie, I made a very festive Halloween Subway art.  This can be used in so many ways.  I'm wanting to print it and frame it-easy and cute!  My favorite combination!

And here is a layout done, using the subway art as a background.

Have a great night!

Be sure to sign up for the newsletter.  I was going to send it out today, but I've only had 5 people sign up!  I promise it will be worth it! I have a free template inside and photos and links to a fun hybrid advent calendar I did!  I'm going to send it out on Monday, so hurry and sign up!
