Manic Monday and a layout prompt

Can you believe I'm here to introduce the last layout prompt for April? Where did the month go? This week we are scrapping a layout of a rainy day. It could be a real rainy day, or a symbolic "rainy day".

I have an example of both to inspire you!

First is one from Ramona, telling about a rainy day in their lives...thankfully the sun came out again!
Ramona used her latest kit "Band-aid Brigade" for this layout.

Next is an actual rainy day as scrapped by Sharon:

Don't forget, if you scrap a layout using the prompt and link us up in a comment to this blog post by Thursday afternoon you could win a gift certificate to Ramona's store at ScrapMatters!

And of course it's just another Manic Monday, so Ramona has this gorgeous kit Love U Still on sale for just $2--today only.

You can find Love U Still here!

This is such a bright kit, I just love it!!!  You can find it here!

And here are just a couple of layouts for inspiration:

And now your new layout prompt challenge.  This week we're scrapping about something current in your life that challenges you, it may be big or small. How are you coping with it and overcoming it?
Remember you could win a gift certificate to Ramona's store just for linking us up to your layout by Thursday afternoon.

Here are some layouts from the blog team to get you started!

from Stefani using Curious You and Gratitude template#5
Journaling reads:
Having a house full of teenagers means a few things. I am forever running to the shop for food. They seem to be ravenous ALL THE TIME. A snack or bowl of cereal just one hour after supper is the norm. They’re growing too, I get that. The biggest issue I have is the messy bedrooms. Wet towels left on the bed, on the floor or half hung over the door in such a way that it doesn’t dry. Shoes lying around, more than one pair, scattered like debris after a spring tide. Cupboard doors never closed, clothes drawers left ago. And bodies draped all over the furniture. Yes I know they will grow up and leave home and my home will remain tidy then and I will miss them. But can’t we just have a compromise now. Can’t they just tidy up a little bit? Hang up wet towels, close cupboard doors and pack things away? Empty bowls and used mugs are the new décor item and life is noisy and busy. A few years ago it was toys and uneaten food. Sigh! I need to just hang in there and get through it I suppose.

from Stacy using Daddy's Boy and Gratitude template #9
Journaling reads:
I remember as a girl hearing stories of my dad and my aunt being awake for hours at night and thought that would be the worst thing in all the world. I was right. I inherited the sleep curse and spend many early mornings wide awake. Getting up makes it worse, so I just lay in bed, thinking of things. Sometimes I have great ideas, other times the thoughts are more mundane and don’t solve any problems Some nights I spend time talking to God or singing songs in my head. But most nights my thoughts just wander from topic to topic. I haven’t figured out a pattern for these sleepless nights, nor a solution. So I try to make the best of it...and take a nap the next day if possible!

I can't wait to hear about something you're currently dealing with!
Happy Scrappin'

Manic Monday and a Layout Prompt

Happy Easter Monday to everyone!  Did you have an enjoyable weekend?  Our weekend was full of extra services at church to celebrate Easter--I just love it! We came home Sunday afternoon a little wiped out, but with full hearts!

As I mentioned last week, our April themes are about life's challenges. Today's layout prompt: scrap a layout about a recent challenge (within the past 10 years) that felt impossible to overcome, but journal how you did.

Once again the blog team has a few layouts for inspiration.

from Stefanie using Love U Still kit and template

from Sharon using Love You To Pieces kit and One Little Word template

from Stacy using Love You To Pieces kit

You can find all of these products in the Memory Clips by Ramona store at ScrapMatters.

And don't forget that today is Manic Monday!  This week Ramona has her fabulous Holiday Brag Book template set on sale for just $2!!!  This sale is today only!  So don't miss out...hurry on over!

Happy Scrappin'!

New Themes and Manic Monday!

Did you love all the fun birth and birthday themes in March? It was so fun for me to talk to my mom about my own birth story and to share with my kids the story of their births as I scrapped them.

This month our themes will take us in a different direction...to the challenges we've faced in our life. This week's theme is to scrap a layout of a challenge in your childhood, either personal or family, and how it affected you and how you overcame it.

Here are a few layouts for inspiration.

From Sharon

From Stacy

from Stefanie

All of these layouts were made with Ramona's new kit "Remembering" which you can find here at ScrapMatters.

If you would like to join in the fun read Ramona's original blog post to find out why we have the themes and then create your own layout using the prompt for this week.  Post a comment to this blog post, by Thursday, with a link to your layout and you could win a gift certificate to Ramona's store!

And one last thing before I let you go...it's Manic Monday and that means that Ramona has something fabulous on sale for just $2. Double Pager Vol 1 is on sale just for today...so go grab it...hurry!

Last March Theme and Manic Monday!

I have got some amazing layouts to show you for this week's theme! The theme is to scrap about the birth of someone close to you. I think we all scrapped about our children but you could also scrap about your sibling, spouse, friend, or nephew/niece.

Sharon's layout uses Baby of Mine by Memory Clips:

Stefanie's layout using the ScrapMatters collab Spring Fresh and Mye De Leon's layer it vol 1 templates:
Stacy's layout also uses Baby of Mine by Memory Clips:

And lastly my layout also uses Baby of Mine by Memory Clips:I also used Double Pager, Vol 2 by Memory Clips. This is actually the first double pager I've ever made where I did both sides at once. Any other double pagers I've done have had one side that was just the reflection of the other side.

Ramona has another product on sale for Manic Monday today. Her Large Photo Templates Vol. One set is on sale today for just $2.00!

Birthday Theme!

Everyone takes pictures on birthdays! So this week's theme is to scrap a birthday of someone close to you, a spouse, child, parent, or yourself! I have to admit that my birthday was about two weeks ago, but I'm not sure there are any pictures! Not to worry, there's plenty of pics from my daughter's birthday five days earlier. Here's some amazing layouts from the blog team to use as inspiration for your own:

Just look at what Stefanie did with the pictures she showed you last Tuesday!
Sharon created this layout. Don't you love the large image!
Used Template by Scrapping with Liz
Kit: Celebrate Bold by Chelle's Creations

And then there's this double pager!
Stacy used the template Ramona created for ScrapMatter's March Two Page Template Challenge and the kit is Imagination Creation from Stolen Moments Designs and Flergs

I think it's just amazing that Ramona has another product on sale for Manic Monday! This week it's her In the Kitchen template set. It's just $2.00 but get it quick because it's only on sale today!

I'm not posting from my usual computer so I'm not able to show the Random.org image but it selected number 4! Congratulations Demetria!

First March Theme

This month we are celebrating birthdays! Our first theme prompt is to scrap a layout about your birth, use pictures if you have, if not, scrap any details you know. I have some beautiful layouts to show you as inspiration this week:

Stefanie did this layout from the point of view of her mother. Such a great idea to use someone else's "voice" for the journaling!

Using Precious Beginnings - Girl by KimB.

Stacy's is so adorable too. I love how she has the piece of the Monday's Child poem as word art!
Using Springscape by Memory Clips including
the Elements, Patterns, and Watercolors.

Being Manic Monday Ramona wanted to put another of her products on sale for just $2.00!
Beautiful You is absolutely adorable!

I'm also pleased to be able to announce a winner from Friday's chance to win Ramona's latest release, Simply Spring!
Congratulations Sherry!
