Friday Flashback with a FREEBIE!!

Good morning, Memory Clips fans!  I hope you had a great iNSD weekend! I don't know about you, but my EHD was working overtime! And did you pick up the fabulous freebie Ramona posted last week as part of the DigiScrap Parade? The parade was so fun with so many goodies from fabulous designers!  If you missed it, you can find Ramona's part HERE along with a link to the start of the parade so you can collect all the pieces!

Now on to a fun new party we're doing here this month...Friday Flashbacks and a freebie for you :)  If you read Ramona's post at the end of April you'll know that Ramona is taking a short break from the blog and designing to recharge and enjoy the end of the school year with her kids.  So the CT gals decided to take over Fridays and flashback to some of our favorite kits and give you a freebie to go along with it!

One of my favorite kits from about a year ago is "The Places You'll Go".  I am always looking for kits that I can use to scrap my son and this kit was perfect!  This kit has fun stitches and paint splats, the colors are spot on for boys, the denim pieces add a fun touch and metal always works for the guys!

Happy National Scrapbook Day (or weekend!)

I love this time of year, for so many reasons, but there is something so exciting about a weekend devoted to all things scrapping!  I don't have as much prepared as I wanted to have, but I hope you will enjoy what I did finish!  As for the rest of the weekend, if I have any freetime, I plan to scrap. No more designing for me for a little bit!

As April Ends...

Thank you all for your support this month!  I am honestly amazed that I even survived this month!  It was a crazy one for me in my real life world!  I hope you all enjoyed the kit!  And with all the craziness   I wasn't very good at taking down links, so I hope that helped a few!

I have a few announcements to make!

First, tomorrow I am participating in a SUPER awesome blog train that you will NOT want to miss!  I honestly can't believe how many goodies will be available-all for FREE!  There are designers from ScrapMatters, Scrap Orchard, Sweet Shoppe and more participating!

It will go live at the normal time and I'll have my piece posted here.  This is a great way to kick off National Scrapbook Day (weekend!)

Second, I will have a few grab bags available on Friday, so please check in on that day to see the goodies I'll have for sale!  It will be lots of great products for a pretty cheap price!

And Third, once NSD is over, I'm taking the rest of May off.  I have a lot to wrap up with  my kids getting out of school, as well as I need to catch my breath after everything that has been going on!

What will that mean for our FREE May kit?  It will be available as one download during the first week of June!  You won't have to collect the pieces, just be sure to check in and grab it!

However, we are also moving from blogspot to wordpress and my own site so the free kit will be part of our new home warming party!  You won't want to miss it!

Throughout the month, we will have a few random posts and sneak peeks of things to come and by June 1st, we will have directions to our new home!  It will all be worth the wait!

Fun on the Lake

Maggie here.  I've had a bit of family drama lately.  But overall I have been totally blessed with the family that I have.  My sister and I have been planning the biennial family reunion for my mom's family.  My mom is one of 6 children and they have also been a tight-knit family.  I consider many of my cousins to be friends as well as family.  We have had as many as 45 people and 4 generations.  This year it's going to be smaller, but we still anticipate almost 30 people for a 4-day weekend of food, fun, stories and laughs.

And I will be taking plenty of pictures for this year's reunion album but I have also been working on the last reunion's album - yes, I'm perpetually behind.  Here's a page from the 2011 album:

I'm Scrapping My Story, Are You?

Hi everyone! Eileen here today and this is my first post here on Ramona's blog! I've been a member of her CT for about as long as she's been designing, but I've been a "silent" member for a bit, but with good reason! We welcomed a new little guy last June and he turned my world upside down, just as any newborn will do. Sleep deprivation abound and I was pretty useless in the scrapping world for quite some time. Now he's 10 months old and actually sleeps predictably. That means I've got some scrapping time back!

Anyway, I'd like to share a page that I created using my little guy's newborn photos. I used the beautiful Scrap Your Story: April kit that you can get piece by piece by visiting the blog every day, or you can just head on over to Ramona's shop at Scrap Matters and grab the whole thing if you just can't wait!

Since I've been on a scrapping break for so long, I still need a little help to start off a page and so I used a template from Ramona's Clip It {templates} Vol. 1, which is also available at Scrap Matters.

NSD Plans

Well, we are about 2 weeks away, but National Scrapbook Day is coming so very fast!  I would love input from my faithful readers on what things you would like to see in my shop for that day!

National Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Day

Hello everyone!  Bethany here...Did you know that today is National Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Day?  I had NO clue such a thing existed!  In my house we always like to celebrate the silly holidays as well as the big ones, I guess maybe we just like a reason to celebrate, lol!  So when searching for holidays coming up, this is what I had found.  It made me giggle.  It's been a while since I have made or even eaten a Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, but from what I remember, it is yummy!  I think we are going to be making one today....I mean the fruit makes it healthy right?!  I don't know if my kids have ever had it, so what better way to introduce it to them than to try it today!!
