One Little Word

Do you all have your One Little Word planned for this year?  Mine is "Me".  Sounds kind of selfish and I'll admit, I find it hard to admit that that is my special word for the year!  But I have spent a very large part of my life pleasing others, trying to always do what I think others want and taking care of others.  Most of this, I don't mind! I especially love caring for my family!  But, somewhere in it all, I lost sight of  myself and I find that I often put my needs on the back burner. This hasn't been good for my health nor my emotional well-being!

So, I have decided to change that!  My lucky number has always been 13!  So, I figure its a sign! This is my year! And I'm going to make the most of it!  I have started off the year with the SCD diet which I'm hoping will heal much of the damage from being an undiagnosed celiac for most of my life!  It hasn't been easy and I find it difficult to eat so carefully-not just anything that sounds good. But I'm hoping the payoff will be worth it!  I'll keep you posted as I go along!

I also hope to return to college in the Fall and lose some of this weight that I have failed at so many times before!

How about you? What is your special word?  If you haven't thought of one-take a moment and think what you would like to add to your life or change this year.

Also, as a hint, I will be releasing templates on Friday that go with this theme! So stay tuned!

And now for today's Freebie:

Thank you for the beautiful dl ! Good luck with your word for this year .. stick with it .. you sound exactly like me! I didn't have a word last year, but if I did "Me" would have been it .. same as you I have given most of my life to sharing & caring with & about everyone else; and last year I decided it was time for me & my hubby. I still did a lot for others, but I made sure there was more time for me & for us. I think it did me & us a lot of good. I don't think it is selfish .. I think we had our "ying and yang" out of whack!! Sometimes when you give so much, people get used to just taking .. not in a conscious way but simply because they are used to you giving. Stick with it .. you will find all your relationships much healthier for it :)
