Gratitude for Health

Health is such an important thing and something I don't take lightly.  I don't have major health issues, but rather lots of little ones that can kind of pile up to be not fun!  I'm thankful for natural healing. I am really into doing whatever I can to improve my health with diet and supplements.  Its not that I don't believe in medication, because I do, I just like to keep it as a last option.  I've been very blessed, so far!  A year ago, I was dealing with a lot of panic attacks and other issues that have been completely resolved.  I'm still dealing with an underactive thyroid, but things are moving in the right direction and hopefully into next year, I can start losing weight again.

Enough about that though!  In one of the comments, over the weekend, I was asked how I do it.  Do I scrap layouts and then create templates from those?  I'm actually the opposite.  I create the templates, then when I want to scrap a layout, I just pull out one of my templates to use.  Here's the thing.  I love, love, love planning out a layout, trying to think visually how photos should fit on a page-keeping a good balance of white space and always trying to think of the rules of thirds.  When I am in this mode, I don't like needing to also focus on which photo to use, what I should journal, what title, etc.  So, by making it a template, then I can focus on the composition of the layout and that only.  When I get ready to scrap, I want to put my energy behind the photo/the story/etc. and I don't want to think about the composition of the layout.  I don't know if that makes sense, but its what works for me!!

And I also had a request to share the info of one of my online friends who designs. Her name is Angie, and she is awesome!  She sells her designs at ScrapMatters under the design name of Down This Road Designs.

Here are just a few of my favorites:

Wow, I visit ScrapMatters often and have never noticed those gorgeous kits, they're so cool. I love discovering new designers to follow.
Thanks for the latest template and for sharing how you work. I am always amazed at how other people create and manage their workflow, and that explains why your templates are so wonderful you have really DESIGNED them! They are so easy and quick to use and I love the way you have added shadows as well as the range of embellishments you employ.

Thanks Ramona for sharing you design work with us. I too love using templates as the basis for starting my LO's. I often go in a completely different direction once I start adding my elements, but I do love the paper clipping and photo placements ready made.
Thanks also for sharing "grateful for health" with us. My husband and I are grateful for each day we are given. If you don't have health, not much else matters.
Our God id so good.

I am brand new to digital scrapbooking (just "discovered" the world last week), and happened across the LSD blog train and found my way to your blog. Tons to do before baby wakes up from her nap, but just wanted to leave a short message saying that your posts about gratitude really stick out among the various blogs I've browsed. I look forward to reading more on your blog in the future. Thank you so much for the wonderful templates!
